U.S. Saaz Hops
Saaz: Osvald-72 c.v. Hop Profile
Saaz hops are the famous landrace variety from the Czechia region, but this is specifically US Saaz, grown by our friends at Virgil Gamache Farms in Toppenish, WA. US Saaz caries some of the same floral and spicy elements as Czech Saaz, but this American-grown lot presents with brighter citrus and a hint of cherry. US Saaz hops work well in classic European styles and lagers, but also fits perfectly in new twists on those styles.
Aroma: Classic noble aromas. Floral, citrus, and spice.

US SAAZ HOP SUBSTITUTIONS
US Saaz is the obvious choice to replace the scarce Czech grown Saaz. US Saaz hops carry similar characteristics and flavor profiles as East Kent Golding, US Golding, and Hallertau Mittlefrüh making these hops an excellent substitution in your next light lager.
