Campden Tablets consist of potassium metabisulfite. They are easy to use and potent. They are used to block oxidation, wild yeast growth and bacteria in must. Just one tablet in one gallon of must produces 75 ppm total sulfur dioxide. Before use, create a powder from the tablets. Campden tablets can also be used to remove chlorine or chloramine from brewing water.
