Licorice Root 1 oz

Licorice Root has a strong flavor, similar to anise though sweeter, with hints of bitter. This root gives beers a very distinct taste which is excellent in darker beers, such as porters and stouts.

nUse about 1/2 – 1 ounce per 5 gallons and add for the last few minutes of the boil.
